How does the unit system work?

Units are used each time you ask a question, and vary in amount based on how much work Sorxi needs to find, verify and cite a trusted answer. Simple questions use fewer units, while more complex questions use more.

10 complex questions will use roughly 15K units – but this varies by the difficulty of your question, whether you uploaded a document, and how long your specific conversation is.

Members of our Lite and Expert tiers have the ability to purchase additional units each month.

Units do not expire, however you must maintain an active Lite or Expert subscription to use Sorxi. If you cancel that subscription, any remaining units will expire.

A combination of advanced technologies, and human oversight – “Sorxi Safe” ensures each question you ask is answered with the following principles in mind:

  • Transparency – each answer includes a description of sources used, and the limitation of those sources.
  • Verifiability – a reference tool at heart, Sorxi will suggest specific resources for further investigation.
  • Active participation – every user is empowered to rate the quality of answers, and to provide specific feedback on how to make the answer better
  • Nurse intervention – always improving, licensed nurses constantly update our knowledge base, approved list of reference resources, and the technology Sorxi is built on

Yes, Sorxi is designed to cater to nurses at all experience levels, from novice to expert professionals. Our platform offers resources and support to help you enhance your nursing practice regardless of your level of expertise. 

While the tools we utilize are highly secure, Sorxi is not designed to be HIPAA compliant.

Sorxi’s knowledge base combines three primary layers of trusted information:

  1. Curated and “closed” knowledge base – including drug, condition and best practice resources
  2. Live searched websites – to ensure you have access to the most up to date resources, from approved websites only
  3. Authored content – licensed nurses draft research briefs to fill any gaps in the above content

Our goal is to answer every question nurses ask, especially if it’s likely that question will be asked by other nurses.

These resources are constantly being updated, augmented and improved based on feedback from you!

Put simply: Sorxi combines the latest AI innovations with human input to empower nurses with the answers they need.

It starts with knowledge – we only allow our technology to reference approved sources. This minimizes the chance that things are made up.

The technology utilized is trained and developed to say “I don’t know” if it’s unsure of the answer.

Each answer includes explicit references, and a section describing limitations of that answer – so you can investigate further.

Finally – every user, you included, can rate the answer for quality and “Escalate” the answer to our team of licensed nurses. This ensures that Sorxi continually improves – so each question is a “living and breathing” resource for the community.

Just like the most knowledgeable nurse preceptor you know, it isn’t possible for any resource – Sorxi included – to be perfect. This is meant to empower you to make better decisions, not replace your clinical expertise.

Upload documents up to 50MB in size – including PDFs, Microsoft Word, and image documents. Sorxi can the answer questions about those documents, and even help you rewrite them:

“Check the sources in my hazardous drug policy to ensure they’re up to date”

“What does this resource say I should do to minimize the risk of infection?”

“Look at the image I uploaded – can you summarize these notes I wrote down?”

Similar to using “Siri” or other smart assistants, you can talk to Sorxi and ask it questions by entering voice mode.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at anytime from the dashboard.

If you are a paid subscriber, your subscription will finish at the end of your monthly billing period.
